So another week has come and gone already and it is hard to believe it. There are several things that I have learned while being on this diet that looking back 14 weeks amaze me.
- First of all, we love routine. When I started this journey exercise was boring, painful, and rare at best I had a gym membership that I never used. Now I can’t go a day with out getting in a good workout! If I don’t spend at least 40 minutes doing some sort of high energy calorie burning workout I feel like my day is not complete. In fact Saturday I was in Memphis for the day and didn’t get a chance to really workout good, and when I went to bed that night I really just felt like I was out of sync. When I began this diet if I could complete 25 mins on the elliptical I was going well, now I knock out 40 mins easy and on a much more difficult setting.
- Secondly if you think your hungry there is a good chance your just thirsty. I can’t tell you how many times my hunger pangs are squelched with just large glass of water.
- I don’t miss greasy fast food like I thought I would. I am now so far removed from that kind of food that I can watch other people eat it frequently and not be bothered by it.
